Parking
and Access
The Crookwell Show has been one of the last few Shows to cater for Public Parking on the grounds. With the issues of Public Liability and OH&S requirements, we are forced to make the changes we have. We will be looking to fine tune the arrangements for coming years.
Drastic changes always meet with some resistance and we sympathise with those views. However, we are confident that the new arrangements will actually make it a much more enjoyable show for everyone concerned; Patrons, Competitors, Exhibitors and Trade Exhibitors alike.
The show is growing, which is against the trend of many shows. We are limited in space, and to cater for this expansion in the size of some events and the addition of new events, we need this room to achieve it.
Relocating the Dog Show to the Soccer Grounds on the Saturday has meant we will have a record number of entries because of the space available.
Patrons that avail themselves of the FREE parking at Todkill Park will really get a pleasant surprise when they see the Dog Show in a light Crookwell has never seen.
Out of area visitors that park at Todkill Park will see Crookwell’s spectacular sporting facilities that are not normally visible to passing traffic. Fields that bread Olympians and National Champions.

PARKING: There will NOT be any PUBLIC parking on the grounds with the exception of the Frail and Disabled.
FRAIL or DISABLED: These patrons MUST apply for a Permit Ticket at the Show Office prior to the show and a numbered parking space will be available at ringside. However, vehicles containing Aged or Frail passengers will be allowed to enter the grounds for a few moments just to set down their passengers and then return back out the gate to Park. This will be very closely policed!
VENDORS & EXHIBITORS: Generally speaking this classification are those that operating from a "Trade Space". (e.g. Food Vans, Hat Stall, Charity Booths, Static Displays). Only vehicles that are a requirement for the operation, needed for storage of products, or for overnight accommodation, will be allowed to park within the space paid for. All other vehicles can only enter the grounds prior to the show hours for dropping off of supplies etc., but must then leave the grounds again.
LIVESTOCK: All livestock being exhibited or competing in the show must be delivered and penned by the required times. Removal will not be permitted by vehicle until after the times allocated.
The only vehicles ALLOWED to remain parked on the grounds are:
Cattle Trucks which will be parked in a special area.
All Horse Floats (trailed combo and trucks) CAN remain on the grounds but they MUST park in an Orderly fashion where DIRECTED by the Grounds-person or their representative. You must MOVE or Reposition it if directed. The whole operation of the Horse Events; Ring, Heavy Horse and Trots, will hinge around SENSIBLE and Co-Operative Parking of vehicles.
DOG Trailers and vehicles used to bring dogs competing in the Official Dog Show at the Soccer fields will be able to park at the soccer grounds (see map) on production of their competitors card. This does not include entrants in the Dog High Jump and/or the Kids Pet Competition at the showgrounds.
