New Zealand South Island versus NSW
Yes it's on a again this year! Those hardened, tough, large and some wirey Axemen form both sides of the Ditch will engage in a War of the Wood, not with Battleaxes but their Tools of Trade, the woodcutter's axe!
A couple of events will also see them pitted against each other on the end of crosscut saws that demand technique, physical exertion and teamwork of the men on the ends!
We are so privaledged to have both teams, NSW and especially 'our mates' from New Zealand come to 'our turf' to do battle and entertain us at the same time. Thanks guys!
Local Competitor, and former Australian Champion Axeman, George Quigg will be competing. George is a regular competitor at the Sydney Royal and his involvement in organising this competition at our show is much appreciated.
In his mid 60's, George shows that age is not a barrier to achieving a level of fitness that most of us never achieve in our prime years!!
